PAYMENT POLICY
Medical services are provided and billed. Our providers participate in most all of the major health insurance plans in the region. Please call our office to see if we accept your insurance plan.
Please be aware that with any health plans, there may be deductibles and copayments for which you could be responsible at the time of service. Each guest has the right to receive an itemized bill, upon request, within seven days following discharge from New Smyrna Beach Ambulatory Care Center. Please contact the business office to make a request for an itemized statement.
HEALTH PLANS

We take most major health insurance plans excluding Medicaid. The Ambulatory Care Center's patients may request a more personalized estimate of charges and other information from our facility and other health care providers. Always contact your health care practitioner to insure that they participate within our network.

The verification of benefits is no guarantee for payment by the insurance company. Final payment is the responsibility of the account grantor.
COST OF SERVICE

The average facility fee for NSBACC is $300 - $600.
The average anesthesia fee is $100 - $200.

QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BILL
What billing or insurance information will I receive?
You will receive a copy of your bill. After your insurance has paid, we'll provide you with a monthly statement of your account.
How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?
Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.
Why am I getting bills from physicians?
Each entity who provides professional services will send you a separate bill. These entities will include:
- The physician who provided the service
- Pathology ( for procedures done)
- Anesthesia ( if provided)
- Facility
You will be responsible for paying these bills.
I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?
If we have received any such information from your insurance company, we'll be glad to share it with you. However, for answers to any questions about insurance payments, deductibles, or co-payments, you generally need to check with your insurance company.
Do you provide any financial assistance if I cannot pay my bill in full?
Yes. We offer individualized payment plans to assist you in paying your balance. We also accept Care Credit.
Do you offer Charity Care?
No, not at this time.
ACCOUNT STATEMENT
Any account balances over 90 days old will result in having the account sent to a collection agency. We do realize that serious financial problems may temporarily prevent you from paying your account in full. If such a situation arises, you must contact us promptly for assistance with the management of your account and to make suitable payment arrangements with us.
